Arrival
Where are we?
A tea stall at the roadside, a pot of milk and black tea at a rolling boil, small cups passed hand to hand.
Curiosity
What makes it special?
It’s tea. Why does one cup feel like a whole kitchen of spices?
Discovery
What did we learn?
Masala chai is less a recipe than a daily ritual — black tea simmered with milk and a household’s own blend of spices. No two stalls make it the same. The warmth comes from layering, not from any single spice.
Craftsmanship
How did we translate it?
We built that layering into a soft, buttery cookie, so the warmth arrives the way it does in the cup — slowly, one note after another. India’s spiced tea, reimagined as a Stacks cookie.
